Christopher Thompson is a bilingual lawyer specializing in intellectual property and technology law. In addition to being a lawyer, he is also a registered Canadian patent and trademark agent. Prior to his legal career, Christopher worked for a number of years in the software industry. Chris holds a Bachelor of Laws (University of Alberta), a Master’s degree in Computer Science (University of Washington), and a Bachelor of Mathematics (University of Waterloo). Over his career, he has received numerous academic awards and professional accolades. He also once won the grand prize in the University of Washington’s annual business plan competition. Chris is a frequent speaker at legal continuing education events. Chris is actively involved in numerous volunteer initiatives, from university health education to assisting with Babies Who Volunteer, a charity connecting youth with the elderly. Chris lives in Nepean with his wife and two children, one of whom attends junior kindergarten at Joan of Arc. In his spare time, Christopher enjoys gardening, cooking, and amateur electronics.
